Spider. Pamphobeotus antinous belongs to the class of arachnids (Classis Aracnida) and not to the class of insects (Classis Insecta or Exapoda). Spiders have a feature that is lacking by insects, that is, they have two teeth, which in some tropical species can be almost as big as those of vipers, and can also be used to bite and to poison the prey as vipers do. Most spiders feed on insects, but in hot climate countries some species feed on flesh, eating big rodents and small birds, too. The bite of a spider is rarely deadly though very painful.
